Böblingen, May 2023 – BHC GmbH, which advises companies on application lifecycle management (ALM) and product lifecycle management (PLM) for mechatronic and software-driven products, recently entered into a service partnership with PLM/ALM software manufacturer PTC. As a new service partner for the Codebeamer ALM solution, BHC supports PTC customers in implementing and customizing the solution, coupling it with existing PLM systems and processes, and migrating existing solutions to the Codebeamer environment. The service profile is rounded off by comprehensive process and method consulting. By cooperating with PTC, BHC is expanding its partner ecosystem and service offering in the ALM/PLM environment. The consulting company, which is part of the PROSTEP Group, also works in partnership with other ALM manufacturers.
The development and management of mechatronic and software-driven products requires interdisciplinary collaboration between the various domains and better integration of the ALM and PLM applications they use to control their processes and manage their results. For this purpose, the experts at BHC have developed a comprehensive methodology based on systems engineering methods. “The service partnership with PTC signifies recognition of our extensive ALM expertise, a topic we deal with every day in our business,” emphasizes CEO Philipp Hasenäcker. “Consistent application of ALM concepts and the tools embedded in them is a key requirement for end-to-end traceability in our customers’ data ecosystems.”
Codebeamer is one of the world’s leading ALM solutions, which is also used by some German automotive OEMs. Originally developed by Intland Software, it has been part of PTC’s product portfolio since May last year. “By partnering with BHC, we are expanding our ALM partner ecosystem to ensure that our customers receive the best support for implementing Codebeamer and linking it to product development data,” said Kerstin Nagel, Strategic Alliance Director at PTC.
The software vendor already has a long-standing, successful partnership with PROSTEP, BHC’s parent company. For example, PROSTEP has developed a standard connector between Codebeamer and the PLM integration platform OpenPDM, which makes it very easy to connect the ALM solution with other enterprise applications to implement digital thread scenarios and ensure tracebility. From May 15-18 at this year’s PTC LiveWorx in Boston, BHC and PROSTEP will present their comprehensive range of consulting and solutions for ALM and PLM.
